The Pentax K-X DSLR has been named as the Best Entry Level DSLR 2010 by the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA).
Having already received many distinctions in the European press over the past 12 months, the K-X was chosen by a panel of TIPA members during a meeting in New York earlier this month.
A TIPA spokesperson explained the reasoning behind their decision: “Equipped with a 12MP CCD sensor, a dust remover mode, a sensor-shift stabiliser, a video mode, a shutter that goes up to 1/6000s and a sensitivity range expandable to ISO 12.800 from top speed of ISO 6400, this entry level and compact DSLR is an excellent choice to discover the delights of the SLR camera system. The attractive price and a respectable technical content are well combined for a pleasant picture taking.”
The Pentax K-X is a formidable beast that represents excellent value for money. Key features include a frame rate of 4.7fps, 12.4 MP stabilised CMOS sensor and HD Movie, 4.5fps, 1/6000th.
